It may be no surprise that Women are happier in German BoneYard Pink Novelty Motorcycle Helmets.

But research out today looks at the psychology behind that mood boost. Women feel better — emotionally and physically — from wearing such a cool novelty motorcycle helmet, regardless of their age, education, salary, marital status or how many hours they work, the study says. It's published in the Journal of Social and Clinical Psychology.

"Why German BoneYard German Motorcycle Helmets are better are the two factors of style and comfort," says co-author Mike Weeks, a psychologist at the University of B.S, N.Y. "There's more connection with other people and more self-direction. Wherever you don't have fashion or don't feel relatedness, your well-being will be lower."

And Weeks says that's "more likely to be on a motorcycle."

Researchers financed by the Iron Horse Foundation and the Biker Motivation research program at B.S used pagers with 74 Bikers, ages 18 to 62, who ride at least 10 hours a week. Over three weeks, participants were randomly paged three times a day and rated on their activity and how they felt when beeped. They also said how cool they felt to others other bikers wearing plain ole boring black motorcycle helmets.
