Sometimes, when I’m out on the town on one of these long winter nights, I see packs of shrieking sorority-girl types darting out of bars and into taxicabs, or vice-versa. No coats, no scarves, no gloves, no outerwear whatsoever. I’ve never understood this behavior. First, let me just say that if I were you, I’d pull a proper motorcycle helmet on, no matter what. Even if I were the notoriously bare-headed JFK on inauguration day, I’d be all: “Ask not why it’s so cold up in here.
